One meeting therapy

Sometimes, you don't need a year of sessions to find your footing, you just need the right conversation at the right time. Often called Single Session Therapy (SST), this approach is built on the philosophy that a single, focused meeting can be a catalyst for significant change.

What is One-Meeting Therapy?

The goal isn’t necessarily to "fix" everything in an hour. Instead, we treat our time together as a complete process. We dive straight into what matters most to you right now, identifying your existing strengths and uncovering practical steps you can take the moment you leave the room.

How It Can Help

  • Immediate Clarity: Cut through the noise of a specific dilemma or "stuck" point.

  • Solution-Focused: We pivot quickly from "what is wrong" to "what is possible."

  • No Long-Term Commitment: It’s ideal for those who want professional insight without the financial or time constraints of weekly therapy.

  • Empowerment: It reinforces the idea that you already possess the internal resources to manage your life; sometimes you just need a sounding board to map them out.

What You Might Bring

There is no "wrong" topic for a single meeting, but it works best when you bring a specific "nugget" to work on. This might include:

  • A Crossroads: "I have a big decision to make and I’m paralysed by it."

  • A Pattern: "I keep reacting this way in my relationship and I want to understand why."

  • A Recent Event: "Something happened this week that has thrown me off balance."

  • A Check-in: "I’m doing okay, but I want to sharpen my coping tools for the coming month."

What to Expect

In our meeting, I bring an active, collaborative energy. We won't spend the whole hour on history; we will focus on the here and now. You’ll leave with a clear sense of your next step and the confidence that you have the tools to take it.

Note: If we decide at the end of our meeting that more support would be beneficial, we can always discuss a follow-up. But we start with the belief that this one meeting might be exactly what you need.
